ESSIAC
HERBAL TEA
NOW |
In 1922, a patient told Rene about a herbal tea that had cured her breast cancer many years before. When Rene's aunt recovered from inoperable cancer after taking it, doctors began to refer their hopeless cases to her. After many experiments, and with help from Dr. Fisher, she refined the formula so that it could be taken with no side effects. She called it Essiac, her name spelled backwards. For eight years, Nurse Caisse ran a compassionate cancer clinic in Bracebridge, Ontario, charging no fee. She considered herself well rewarded when her own mother recovered from cancer after taking Essiac. Skeptical doctors who visited the clinic left convinced of the effectiveness of the treatment.
Other factors in the herbal formula helped to cleanse the blood and normalize the enzymes. Because Essiac activated natural defenses, the body did not remain dependent on it. Through it did not help everyone, it did relieve pain and improve quality of life for many patients, some of whom lived for decades longer.
The
Herbs:
All four herbs normalize body systems by purifying the blood, promoting cell
repair, and aiding effective as simulation and elimination. When combined, their
separate beneficial effects are synergistically enhanced.
Burdock
Root (Arctium lappa)
Capable of decreasing cell mutation and inhibiting tumors. It also reduces mucus
and prevents formation of gall and kidney stones. Its vitamin A and selenium
help eliminate free radicals and its chromium content helps regulate blood sugar
level.
Slippery
Elm (Ulmus fulva)
The inner bark, rich in calcium, magnesium, and vitamins A, B, C, K feeds and
soothes organs, tissues and mucus membranes, and is especially helpful to the
lungs. It also helps neutralize acids from indigestion and relieves asthma.
Sheep
Sorrel (Rumex acetosella)
A traditional folk remedy for cancer, sheep sorrel also relieves internal ulcers,
and applied externally helps clear skin problems such as eczema, ringworm and
herpes. Rich in vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, it nourishes the glandular
system. Sheep sorrel contains silicon, a necessary element in nerves and the
myelin sheath that protects them.
Indian
Rhubarb (Rheum palmatum)
In small amounts, this herb acts as a gentle laxative, and purges the body,
especially the liver, of wastes and toxic matter. It helps counteract acids
due to indigestion. Its malic acid also carries oxygen to all parts of the body,
aiding in healing. A substance called rhein, present in the root, inhibits disease-causing
bacteria and candida albicans in the intestines, reducing fever and inflammation.
Studies done in the 1980's show that rhubarb root has antibiotic and anti-tumor
properties.
