Vitamins A and D are categorized as fat-soluble vitamins as they are stored in the fatty portions of the body's organs and tissues. Vitamin A is available in two forms: pre-formed Vitamin A (from fish liver) and Pro Vitamin A (Beta carotene from fruits and vegetables). Vitamin D is available in two forms: Vitamin D 2 from plant sterol obtained from yeast. Vitamin D 3 is from fish liver oil. Carlson provides all forms in easy to swallow soft gelatin capsules.
