Use this tissue-nourishing formula for general or intensive gastrointestinal support. We've formulated this convenient powder to deliver significant amounts of four key nutritional ingredients that are used to help maintain proper GI function. Generous amounts of L-glutamine - a full 5 grams per serving - are included to supply glutamine-consuming tissues in the GI tract, liver, and immune system with adequate amounts of this key amino acid cellular energy source. NutraFlora FOS is added to selectively feed beneficial intestinal bacteria, which reside in the colon. The soluble, non-bulking acacia fiber in Intestamine can be fermented by the microflora to acetic, propionic and butyric short-chain fatty acids which help maintain the normal structure and function of the mucosal cells of the colon. And, N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine (NAG) in the formula can be used to make glycosaminoglycans needed for normal intestinal mucous production. Intestamine can be used whenever nutritional support of gastrointestinal function is needed. It can be taken regularly in combination with Bio-dophilus or other probiotic supplements. The taste-neutral powder mixes easily with water, juice, or other beverages. Measuring scoop included. Intestamine supports the health of the GI tract by providing: Generous amounts of L-Glutamine, the primary energy fuel for intestinal cells Other selected nutrients that help maintain optimal intestinal function, especially during times of physiological stress.
