Protease, a protein-specific enzyme and amylase, a carbohydrate-splitting enzyme, are also provided by this natural dietary pancreatic supplement. Lipanase tablets are specially formulated to prevent destruction of enzyme activity by the stomach, yet quickly release their contents once reaching the small intestine. Enzymes are porcine derived.
