One common challenge after bariatric surgery is the intake of an adequate amount of protein, which is essential for post-operative healing, normal metabolic activity, enzyme production, immune function, wound healing, and health of hair, skin, nails, and bones.* This is why most surgeons and dieticians recommend a post-operative protein supplement.
