Phosphatidylcholine (lecithin) is an excellentsource of choline, a B vitamin. PC is a maincomponent of cell membranes and is criticalfor brain and liver function. In the brain, PCis the precursor to acetylcholine. In digestion,PC is part of the bile complex that emulsifiesfats to facilitate absorption.
