BetaCareAll concentrated natural source of mixed carotenoids derived from the sea plant Dunaliella salina. D. salina is grown in the clear, clean waters near Whyhalla, Australia, and is harvested mechanically, without chemical additives or solvents. The mixed carotenoids in D. salina are very bio-available and may be the best natural source of mixed carotenoids available in a nutritional supplement.
Carotenoids are antioxidant nutrients that help to protect the body against damaging free radicals.
Take one capsule per day or as directed by a physician.
One capsule a day may be sufficient for children and pregnant women. Others can take more as high therapeutic dosages are very safe.
BetaCareAll — concentrated natural source of mixed carotenoids derived from the sea plant Dunaliella salina. D. salina is grown in the clear, clean waters near Whyhalla, Australia, and is harvested mechanically, without chemical additives or solvents. The mixed carotenoids in D. salina are very bio-available and may be the best natural source of mixed carotenoids available in a nutritional supplement.
D. salina is a boon to vegetarians because it is a vegetable source of vitamin B12 and many amino acids.
Carotenoids from D. salina are excellent supplemental carotenoids if we don't eat enough fruits and vegetables.
Beta carotene: proven to be a potent antioxidant and free radical quencher. Normally, there is a balance between the free radicals generated by our metabolism and the antioxidants that protect us. However, when we are exposed to additional sources of free radicals pollution, cigarette smoke, pesticides, etc., and do not supplement with antioxidants, there is a shift in the balance. Our body loses the fight against these free radicals and they are able to damage and injure cells, leading to many degenerative diseases.
Lycopene: The carotenoid that gives tomatoes and berries their red colour. Men who eat tomatoes regularly reduce their risk of prostate cancer significantly. Lycopene quenches singlet oxygen even more efficiently than beta-carotene and vitamin E. It has also been shown to diminish the effect of mutations caused by radiation exposure.
Alpha-carotene: The lesser known sibling of beta-carotene, is also found liberally in carrots, pumpkins, red and yellow peppers, and yellow corn. In the laboratory alpha carotene inhibited the growth of human cancer cells. The inhibitory effect increased as the dose of alpha carotene increased.
Cryptoxanthin: found in papayas, peaches, tangerines and oranges. When 15,161 women were monitored for 15 years, high levels of cryptoxanthin were associated with a significant reduction in the risk of cervical cancer.
Zeaxanthin: found in spinach and other green leafy vegetables. It is particularly good at protecting the eyes from macular degeneration.
Lutein: found in spinach and other green leafy vegetables. It is particularly good at protecting the eye from macular degeneration. When compared to other Polynesians, Fijians have much lower lung cancer rates, even though their smoking rates are the same as other islanders. Scientists conclude that the carotenoid lutein accounts for the protective effect. Lutein may be the antioxidant specifically protective to the lungs, because Fijian rates for ovarian, liver, and cervical cancers, are the same as other Polynesians.
